Bounty Protein Balls
Inspired by my love for Bounty chocolate bars, I thought i'd create a chocolate coconut protein ball this week.
These ones actually look quite pretty too so make a nice budget-friendly gift if you find a cool box to put them in. They're under 100 calories per truffle too!
Serving - Makes 10 balls
Macros per ball:
93kcal / 5g protein /11g carbs / 3g fat / 2g fibre
Ingredients:
100g pitted dates (soaked in hot water for 15mins or until "gooey"
40g chocolate protein powder
30g almonds
30g oats (regular or gluten free)
30g chocolate coconut flavour "Choc Shot" (available in hot chocolate section of supermarket)
10g cocoa powder
15g shredded coconut (unsweetened)
2 tsp water
Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients except for coconut in blender & blend until mix is wet & sticky.
2. (This bits a bit messy!) Scoop out mix - roll into balls & roll in coconut until coated (the mix will need to be quite gooey so that the coconut sticks).
3. Place balls in fridge for 30 minutes to harden.
4. Eat! :-)
