Oreo Protein Balls
After the success of the peanut butter cup truffes, I thought i'd play with another one of my favourite treats - oreos!
These delicious biscuit based balls have under 100kcal & 5g protein per piece & a batch can be made in minutes. If you prefer the creamy bit of oreos then make sure you use vanilla protein powder (like I did), if you prefer the chocolatey bit then use a chocolate one!
Serving - Makes 10 balls
Macros per ball:
93kcal / 5g protein / 10g carbs / 4g fat / 1g fibre
Ingredients:
40g oats
40g vanilla or chocolate whey protein powder
30g cashews
2 tbsp "Choc Shot" syrup (available in hot chocolate aisle of supermarket)
10g coconut oil
4.5 oreo cookies
Instructions:
1. Soak cashews in boiling water for 1 hour (make sure the boiling water only just covers them - this will make them "creamier").
2. Place all ingredients in food processor/blender & blend until smooth.
3. Scoop mix out with spoon & roll into equal sized balls.
4. Place in fridge for 1 hour to firm up.
5. Eat :-)
